I want to knit these as wearable socks in a ladies’ size.

My gauge: 40 sts per 10cm/4 inches

I cast on 80 sts and knit a ribbed cuff first and then most of the chart as written in the pattern.

My favourite heel is a simple flap with gussets. Knit over half the stitches (40).
For the foot part I decreased the stitches until I got to 80 again and had to omit some parts of the original pattern (small feet…).

The toe isn’t stranded. I decreased every 2nd round until I had a quarter of the original sts (20) and then grafted the remaining sts.

One of my co-workers saw me knitting these during my break and said in an astonished voice: “There are animals on your socks.”
